Created during the 1930s, the park’s lake was developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps and spans over 350 acres, serving as the centerpiece for fishing, paddle sports, and boating. The park’s mixed hardwood forests provide habitat for a variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, and migratory birds, making it a convenient destination for wildlife viewing and nature photography.
